The cultivation of vines in the region of Trás-os-Montes dates back to Roman times, as evidenced by various references to these wines, known for their high quality. In order to honor this incredible natural and cultural heritage, the Municipality of Valpaços promoted the opening of the Wine House. The Wine House of Valpaços is an interactive museum, equipped with numerous interactive solutions that reveal the history, characteristics and specificities of the wines of the region, highlighting also the archaeological and landscape heritage. The Wine House is a municipal infrastructure of reference for the valuation, dissemination and marketing of local products, also promoting the cultural wealth and heritage diversity, landscape, gastronomy and wines of the Trás-os-Montes region, in general, and Valpaços Municipality in particular.
