Researcher João Rodrigues leads European Federation of animal traction

CIMO researcher João Brandão Rodrigues was elected President of the European Federation for the Promotion of Draught Horses (FECTU) during the General Assembly of the Federation that took place in Szreniawa, Poland, on April 27-28. João Rodrigues has previously served as vice president of FECTU. In Portugal, he is the President of the Portuguese Association of Animal Traction (APTRAN), based in the IPB Campus in Bragança, with which CIMO and many of its members have been collaborating over the years in research and in the organization of events on animal traction and sustainable management of mountain ecosystems.
